CM ADAMS

Born into the rolling hills of Western Kentucky, CM Adams grew up steeped in gospel, blues, and bluegrass of picking sessions with his uncles since the age of eight. His teenage years took him to Venezuela, where the Latin rhythms worked their way into his ear. By 19, back in Kentucky, he was trading licks in gritty blues bars with JD Wilkes of The Legendary Shack Shakers.

That journey from Appalachia to South America and eventually to New Mexico shows up in the music itself: a hybrid of folk traditions that carries rhythms of every place he’s called home.

A fixture of the Southwest music scene, playing most weekends in the Las Cruces, NM area. CM Adams has earned multiple nominations for his original songs, and in 2014 a New Mexico Music Award as CM ADAMS & THE REVELATORS.

For CM, music is medicine, which his live sets reflect. Armed often with just his voice, acoustic guitar, and harmonica, audiences are drawn into the essence and rawness of each song.

His own raw, introspective, and heartfelt originals are interwoven in his live sets along with hand-picked covers from legends like Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Willie Nelson, Hank Williams, Townes Van Zandt — and modern torchbearers like Colter Wall, Tyler Childers, Chris Stapleton, to name a few.

His music has earned spots on Spotify playlists alongside Steve Earle, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, and Wilco — solidifying his standing in the Americana and alt-country world.
